Custom pieces begin as a series of emails or meetings discussing what a potential customer has in mind, and progress to a small number of sketches to narrow down the final look and feel of the piece.  Once the sketches simple sketches are approved, a payment schedule will be arranged and a final sketch will be created.  Once the final sketch is approved, the actual fabrication of the piece will begin.  All fabrication will be based on the final sketch.
